Nigerian Housemate in this year’s Big Brother All Stars reality show, Uti Nwachukwu was Sunday crowned winner of the 91-day show. Held up in a tight competition with four other Housemates, that is, Lerato, Munya, Sheila and Mwisho, Uti beat his closest rival who was widely expected to win, Munya Chidzonga from Zimbabwe, by eight votes to seven.

LAGOS (Reuters) - Nigeria's biggest cement maker Dangote Cement is planning to sell a 20 percent stake through a global share offering in the next 18 months as it gears up for a construction boom in Africa, a senior executive said on Monday. Dangote Cement will list on Nigeria's stock exchange on October 26 after a merger with local rival Benue Cement, in a deal valuing it at $14 billion and making it the country's largest company by market capitalization.

Ben Okeke has a heavyweight challenge on his hands -- trying to popularize the ancient Japanese sport of sumo wrestling, in Nigeria. Okeke, also known as "Baba Mutum" -- which means "Very Big Man" -- runs a sumo academy in Enugu, eastern Nigeria, where he teaches about 40 students. Okeke started out as a professional wrestler until a friend suggested he take up sumo, so he packed his bags and moved to Japan in pursuit of a new challenge.
